Celebrate New Year’s Eve with an endurance challenge like no other - one you’ll never forget.

Whether you're aiming for just 1 lap or pushing yourself to the edge of human capabilities, this alpine course is the ultimate testing and training ground for all Ultras - trail and backyards. Set against stunning High Country scenery - it will not disappoint.
 

Fun for all ages: Registered kids aged 6–12 must be accompanied by a registered adult companion.

EVENT DETAILS

Start/Finish Line

The start and finish line is located in the Falls Creek Village Bowl, outside the Frying Pan Inn.

The official start line sits between the bottom station of the Summit Chairlift and the Frying Pan Inn - right in the heart of the village bowl, with easy access for spectators and support crews.

Marquee area

Each participant signed up for 8 laps or more will be allocated a 3x3 meter space to set up their own marquee in the event village.

Please bring a combination of weights and pegs to secure your structure. Some areas may not allow pegs due to surface conditions, so it’s important to be prepared for both hard and soft ground.

Children aged 6–12 attending will share their registered adult companions space.

Catergories

1.One Lap Wonder

(1 yard - experience the fun of FOMO)

2. Mountain Explorer

(4 yards - catch the final sunset of 2026)

3. Midnight Master

(8 yards - run into the New Year and complete an Ultra)

4. The Last One Standing

(test your limits to the end)

If you are having too much fun on the day, dont stress, all catergories are upgradable. However pre purchasing the higher catergory is more cost effective

Aid Station

There will be a basic aid station available with limited options and subject to change.
 

We recommend bringing your own supplies, especially if you plan to tackle the longer distances - stay fueled and hydrated your way.

There is a water tap available 500m away from the festival area to refuel water eskys etc... Bringing a large water container is advised. 

Bathroom Facilities

Portable toilets will be conveniently located at the event village. There are public toilets over near the Pygmy possum playground 500m away. A single portable toilet will also be available on course at roughly 1/2way.

Medical Assistance

To ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, on-site first aid assistance will be available throughout the event.

It is essential you also bring your own basic medical supplies, such as band-aids, blister care packs, hot/cold packs, and strapping tape, to manage any minor injuries or discomfort during the race.

Your health and safety are our top priorities.

Accommodation / Event Camping

Does your support crew need somewhere close by to get some well needed rest to support you in the best way?

Snowski apartments is your closest accommodation only 100 meters from the start line.Contact them for a discount to participants.

IMPORTANT
Camping in resort bounds is illegal. Only crew  is allowed to stay and nap while crewing within the marquee area.
Only participants doing the 8hrs+ option are allowed to bring marquees. All participants finishing after the 8hr option will not be allowed to stay and nap/ sleep in their marquee. The marquee may stay set up but participants must source a place to sleep for the night.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

  • Start/Finish: The bottom of Village snow run outside The Frying Pan Inn located in the Village Bowl at the base of the summit chairlift.

  • Elevation: 210 meters

  • Route:

    • Ascend track next to tennis courts to Aqueduct

    • Follow Aqueduct Trail to base of Wishing Well Walking track

    • Climb Track to Frying Pan Spur track

    • Turn Left and head to the top of International Poma

    • Descend via Summit road and Pretty Valley Road to Broadway

    • Down Broadway track

    • Turn right onto Ory’s Trail, past Water tanks and back to Aqueduct

    • Left onto Aqueduct and back to Village run

    • Down Village run to finish line
