What an unforgettable way to see in the New Year.

To every participant who toed the line, every volunteer who gave their time through the day and night, and every supporter who cheered, clapped, cooked, directed, and encouraged — thank you. The inaugural Aussie Alpine Backyarder was a huge success because of you.

From the first bell to the final lap, the spirit of backyard racing was on full display: resilience, community, and respect for the mountains. A massive congratulations to our inaugural champion, who dug deep to complete 22 laps of the alpine course to claim the victory — an incredible effort on a demanding track.

We’re incredibly grateful to our volunteers and local supporters who made the event village hum and kept runners moving safely all night long. Events like this simply don’t happen without you.

This was just the beginning. We’re already looking forward to coming back, building on what we started, and doing it all again this year.
